ABBOTTABAD: Officials unveiled the trophy for the upcoming under-23 games at Jalal Baba Auditorium on Monday. The games, carrying the slogan of “rediscover the image of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa through games”, is scheduled to commence next week in all the 26 districts of the province. Both male and female athletes are expected to showcase their sporting skills in cricket, badminton, football, volleyball basketball, tennis, weightlifting, hockey, shooting and different local cultural games. Abbottabad Deputy Commissioner Aurangzeb Haider said that engaging the youth in sports was important to cultivate the spirit of sportsmanship. K-P Sports Director Tariq Mehmood said that the provincial government was aware of the needs and problems of the youth.
