ISLAMABAD: Police Friday detained 10 people, including six Afghan nationals, during a search operation in Sector I-10 and the katchi abadi near Sabzi Mandi.
A total of 350 houses were searched during the operation. Police said they had recovered a number of guns and ammunition during the search. An official said that those possessing unlicenced weapons would be booked while licenced weapons would be returned after the documents are verified.
Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Islamabad police has busted a gang of street criminals who used to snatch mobile phones and wallets from people at gunpoint.
