Standardised medical facilities for all: CM

Shehbaz says the government has taken comprehensive measures for the improvement of healthcare system

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the provincial government was responsible for providing standardised medical facilities to the people and the management of various hospitals has been outsourced with the help of Indus Hospital.

The chief minister expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation led by Health Impact Committee of Abraaj Group Chairman Sir David Nicholson on Friday. Matter pertaining to improvement of healthcare system, training of doctors and coordination for diagnose of diseases were discussed in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz said the government has taken comprehensive measures for the improvement of healthcare system.  “The government with cooperation of Indus Hospital has outsourced the management of various hospitals. This model is very successful.” Abraaj Global Healthcare CEO Khawar Mannan gave a briefing on the international activities of the group.
