International Women’s Day Circle holds workshop

The campaign focuses on showing the world the strength, creativity and aspirations of Pakistani women

Circle on the International Women’s Day held a workshop to celebrate women making a social impact at the Alliance Francaise in Karachi. During the workshop six women pitched initiatives which included women from Sheops, Goats For Water, Sehat Kahani, Girls at Dhaba, a film maker and CIRCLE. The social enterprise also launched 6 university campus chapters across Pakistan to equip a generation of young people to the ‘Be Bold For Change’ campaign and support women’s empowerment. The campuses were launched at NED, Habib University, LUMS, UET Faisalabad, Lahore School of Economics and COMSATS.  The enterprise which is headed by Sadaffe Abid, the former CEO and COO of Kashf Foundation, also launched the ‘Strong Women, Strong Pakistan’ Campaign with Humans of Pakistan. The campaign focuses on showing the world the strength, creativity and aspirations of Pakistani women, creating role models for young women in Pakistan and lastly to inspire men and women to support women’s progress so Pakistan can prosper.
