Corrupt practices: Govt employees to face the music

Director General Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab says the department has arrested 900 corrupt employees

MULTAN: Director General Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab Muzaffar Ali Ranjha has said the department has arrested 900 corrupt government employees, including officers from across the province and they will be held accountable. While speaking to journalists he said the Punjab government was committed to eradicate the menace of corruption from the province. He said, “No one will be spared and action will be taken across the board without discrimination.” “We are taking help from modern scientific gadgets for spotting corruption,” he added. Similarly, he maintained, “The employees accountability system is also being made more effective.” He informed the department had retrieved 4,400 kanals of land from land grabbers in district Muzaffargarh, while legal action was in process for retrieval of another 6,000 kanals.
