Pakistan offers conducive environment for foreign investment, says PM

Nawaz Sharif is in Kuwait on two-day official visit

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Kuwait Monday on a two-day official visit.

Speaking to a delegation of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce at Bubyan Palace, the PM said Pakistan offered conducive environment for foreign investment.

“Pakistan offers an ideal and conducive environment for foreign investments," a statement quoting the PM said. He urged that Kuwaiti business community should explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.



“Government is ensuring all possible assistance and facilitation for investors.”

The premier also welcomed regional countries to join the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Nawaz leaves for Kuwait today

PM Nawaz will hold delegation-level talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, during which important regional and international issues of mutual interest are expected to come under discussion.

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi are also accompanying the prime minister on the trip, which is part of the regular high-level exchanges between the two countries.
