RAWALPINDI: The district government and health authorities have completed arrangements for an anti-polio vaccination campaign in the district starting from March 8. The campaign will continue for five days till March 12.A senior police officer informed The Express Tribune that the campaign was supposed to start on March 6, but had been delayed for two days owing to security reasons. He added that the campaign had earlier been deferred for several days owing to the 13th ECO summit in Islamabad. He said that the campaign would be carried out as per the new schedule and due security would be provided to the polio teams. On the other hand, the district health authority (DHA) have said they aim to vaccinate as many as 829,890 children aged up to five years.
