PCB reveals foreign players for PSL final

All five franchises have picked five players each

DUBAI: The decision by Quetta Gladiators’ biggest foreign names — Rilee Rossouw, Kevin Peitersen, Tymal Mills and Luke Wright — to opt out of the Pakistan Super League final in Lahore left many wondering whether Sarfraz Ahmed will lead a side of all-Pakistani players or whether the quartet will be replaced by other international names.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), however, insisted that both finalists will feature international players at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

It now seems they have delivered on their promise as the three remaining PSL teams — Quetta, Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi — have selected five players apiece to play in the showdown.

These are some of the players who have been picked

Anamul Haque — Bangladesh

Elton Chigumbura — Zimbabwe

Peter David Tergo — England

Rayad Emrit — West Indies

Graeme Cremer — Zimbabwe

Craig Ervine — Zimbabwe

Jade Dernbach — England

Ryan ten Doeschate — Netherlands

Morne van Wyk — South Africa

Richard Levi — South Africa

Ashar Zaidi — England

Josh Cobb — England

Azharullah — England

Sean Ervine — Zimbabwe

Kesrick Williams — West Indies

Krishmar Santokie — West Indies

People love the cricket and if we do get to watch Sammy, Jordan, Malan, Afridi, Sarfraz, Akmal and Ahmad shehzad then it's icing on the cake. BTW it's already sold out and i am sure millions feel sad for missing on tickets.

Anamul Haque > Bangladeshi National Cricketer, with T20 SR 121 can keep as well and one the most promising Bangla cricketer. Trego > 171 T20 Veteran Somerset allrounder, SR of 127. Vital county cricketer. Emrit> Cunning Spinner with average of 19 and ER 6.5 after 85 T20 matches Jade Dernbach > Currently dropped English seamer with good sense of death bowling, has been vital part of their team lately. Ryan Ten Des' > Dutch international allrounder, Plays every league regularly. a fine utility player Richard Levi > South African with T20 SR of 150, score fastest T20i 100 on debut Morne Van Wyk> South African WK batsmen with health T20 average and brutal hitting power Josh Cobb> Won Natwest T20 Blast Final single handedly for Northamptonshire. Blasting batsman. Kesrick Williams > is fine fast bowler with good yorker accuracy and slower ball Krishmar Santokie > Currently dropped WI national, averages 15.50 with ER of 6.75 is a very intelligent Left arm bowler. Elton Chigumbura, Sean Ervine, Graeme Cremer, Craig Ervine are all silver category, about decent cricketers with Sean Ervine standing out who went kolpak lately and plays for Hampshire. Azharullah, Zaidi and Yasir are Pakistani Nationals playing for Counties that is a bit of workaround PSL found. Point is, right or wrong a decision was made and it is good to know that these talented cricketers coming to Lahore. People are freaking out because they only know a handful of cricketers, they don't follow the game all around the world so they don't know about them.

Sher Khan | 7 years ago | Reply They are actually some decent players in that list. Richard Levi, Sean Ervine, Elton Chigumbura , and Ryan ten Doeschate are quite capable cricket players. We must be realistic, these are the best players who are willing to travel to Pakistan at the moment. We must not look at their skill, but rather their willingness to support Pakistan Cricket, which should be commended.
