Two armed dacoits on Tuesday shot a 50-year-old woman and took away her purse as she was returning to her home after purchasing prize bonds worth Rs100,000.

Botched robbery: Robbers kill taxi driver on resistance 

The woman was later identified as Amina, wife of Muhammad Zubair, an employee of the FBR. According to police, Zubair and his wife Amina had visited the State Bank on Mall Road where the couple purchased prize bonds worth Rs100,000.

Robbery-murder: Police nab two men

They were returning to their Kosar Colony home on their motorbike when two armed men riding on a motorbike intercepted them. They pointed a gun at Amina and demanded she hand over her purse or else he would kill her. But when she resisted, a dacoit snatched the purse and shot her. After committing the crime, the dacoits fled.
