Hangu unrest: Two bombs defused, five suspects rounded up

HANGU: Hours after defusing two time bombs planted in Hangu’s main bus station, law enforcing agencies arrested five suspects for planting the explosives.

The district police officer (DPO) told media representatives that police had received a tip-off about the planting of time bombs near the bus station’s main gate in the Tal area of the district.

Following the tip-off, security forces and police personnel cordoned off the area while the bomb disposal squad defused the explosives.

After defusing the bomb, a search and combing operation was launched by the security agencies. Five suspects were rounded up as a result. The suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location.

Meanwhile, police and security agencies have apprehended 205 suspects in a search and strike operation carried out in four districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
