SHC chief justice elevated to Supreme Court
Justice Sajjad Ali Shah will take charge as top court judge in March
ISLAMABAD:
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan approved on Tuesday the elevation of Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah to the Supreme Court.
The decision was taken by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar, who is also the chairman of the JCP.

Meanwhile, the commission recommended appointing senior judge Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh as the new CJP in the SHC.
Following Shah's promotion, who will take charge in March, the strength of the apex court will be completed.
