Balochistan corruption: NAB files references against key suspects
Defendants include Mir Khalid Langov, Mushtaq Raisani, Suhail Majeed and Noorullah

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) lodged references against suspects in Balochistan mega corruption case at Quetta Accountability Court-I, here on Monday.
According to details, the court headed by Justice Abdul Majeed, accepted the references against former adviser to chief minister on finance Mir Khalid Langov, former secretary finance Mushtaq Raisani, former secretaries of local government, contractor Suhail Majeed and Noorullah.
The court also issued non-bailable arrest warrant for Noorullah.
Mega corruption case: Bail application dismissed
The reference read that huge amounts were embezzled in the Municipal Committee Mach and billions of rupees were released for Khaliqabad, but no actual development work took place on ground, adding that further investigation revealed that the funds were released under the ‘Aid in Grant’ head in the name of above constituencies and they were later transferred to personal accounts.
The reference quoted that during raid at former secretary’s house, Rs347,077,400 in cash and Rs53,320,000 worth of prize bonds were recovered, including foreign currency that included $23,67,543, £15000, 16,010 Saudi Riyal and jewellery weighing 489.136kg including 2718.413kg pure gold were recovered. It further said that a Rolex watch was also recovered from the house of former finance secretary.
The reference said that it was revealed during investigation that the accused released 2249.133 million rupees directly to the Administrator of Mach and Khaliqabad Municipal Committee and added that this amount was later invested in the real estate business by the accused.
