Pakistani Twitterati tweeted their critiques as news of US national Raymond Davis' release was confirmed by Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday.

Davis was the accused in the double-murder shooting case in Lahore and was acquitted by the court as the families of the victims reportedly pardoned Davis after signing pardon papers in this regard.

Rehman malik was issuing contradictory reports on Diplomatic immunity. The judge handling the case went on leave after this episode. The original lawyer was in detention while the legal heirs were forced to accept the blood money. the sane one... | 13 years ago | Reply i think u people need to calm down... we Pakistanis are unnecessarily emotional... we turn a blind eye to the killings that takes place on the street of karachi every day... we dont pay any heed to the drones attack... we dont care in the world who commits suicide as long we are fine... but then we also need a topic to give our view on...something we love to do... i cant really understand where does all this ghairat comes from if a US national does it... you cant see beyond the obvious... its just a political gimmick for everyone involved... its a popularity contest for the political parties... a moral ground victory for the media channels... and a religious fervor uproar for religious factions.... go back home, slip in ur pajamas, watch the new dvd's ...pray that the US feed you all the dollars so that ur govt can function and does not get bankrupt... otherwise the food will be expensive, the fuel would be unobtainable, there would be no electricity and you would stream roll, and then nobody would give a damn to who raymond was and what he did... its easy to comment from ur comfort zone... think of getting out of it, and then say something, then it would be valid...

Our Military and Civil governments have sold us to the Americans (government) against cash and monitory benefits and we are so helpless, that we are unable to do any thing. The rulers of Pakistan have become billionaires and our public is striving for just bread and butter. We are helpless but we are still hopeful that some day we will rise and can talk to those who are our worst enemies. Everyone is on the take and the mullahs are no better than the rest. The dead are gone, dead and buried .It's a win win for all those that survived. The only sad thing is that we will never know what actually happened that day that lead to Raymond Davis to shoot those two men and who were they really. So many sleeping dogs in this country, why not one more? The other loser are the baying crowds that have missed a horrow show and an opportunity to beat their chests. Instead it resorted to juvenuile behaviour, like it always does, and went on a unsustainable path, which the government of Pakistan cannot afford. So it has now brought more shame on itself. Everything in Pakistan is on sale. So are now the 'victims family' flown out along with Davis, to work as maids in USA or Davis house ? Remember how the parents of Kasav too have been removed from public life and hidden by the agencies ?

It was all the game of our establishment which wanted to black mail US government to get some favourable terms, including clearance of US citizens from ISI before issuance of visas.
