Fighting The Virus: Officials prepare for four-day drive

DC directed the relevant authorities to utilise all their energies so that no child is left behind during the drive

SUKKUR: The district administration of Ghotki finalised on Saturday the arrangements for the four-day-long anti-polio campaign, which will commence from February 27 in the district. The arrangements were finalised during a meeting of the polio eradication committee, presided over by Ghotki deputy commissioner (DC) Syed Aijaz Shah. The DC directed the relevant authorities to utilise all their energies so that no child is left behind during the drive. The meeting was informed about the past experience and future plan of anti-polio campaigns and the provision of facilities to the vaccinators. The DC said all the stakeholders of society have to perform their effective role to get rid of the crippling disease. Additional DC Salimullah, the district health officer and officials of the education and social welfare departments were present on the occasion.
