PESHAWAR: The Sikh community representatives have demanded that the K-P government provide jobs to unemployed but educated youth of the community and reconstruct a road leading to a charnel ground located near Khairabad bridge.

The demand was raised by the Sikh leaders at a function held at Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh on Wednesday. Sewing machines and cash were distributed among the community’s poor.

They said that community members were facing difficulties in shifting bodies of the deceased to the grounds located in faraway places as most of them could not afford transportation expenditures.
