KARACHI: Professor Dr Wasim Qazi has been appointed as the vice-chancellor and president of Iqra University, Karachi. Earlier, Dr Qazi was working as the vice-president of the university. He has done post-doctorates from Australia and United States. He was an international visiting scholar at the Western Michigan University and visiting professor at Eastern Kentucky University. Dr Qazi has served at other higher education institutes and in various administrative capacities for more than two decades. These include Hamdard University, University of Lahore, University of Faisalabad and Iqra University.  As a consultant and project director, Dr Qazi’s efforts have materialised into connecting universities to a multitude of international donor organisations.
