Fake faith healer, disciple arrested

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The police claimed to have arrested fake spiritual healer and his accomplice who tortured to death a woman in Dera Ghazi Khan on Tuesday.

Circle City DSP Azhar Raza Gillani told journalists the police succeeded in arresting the prime suspects in the woman’s torture and murder case. He added on a tip-off, the police raided a hideout and arrested accused Amanullah and Abdul Hameed.

The DSP maintained both suspects were at large after the incident but were nabbed. He said the suspects will be produced before the court for physical remand.

Earlier this month, 34-year-old Surraya was tortured to death by fake spiritual healer Amanullah, and his companion Abdul Hameed. The accused closed the woman in a room and subjected her to inhuman torture. They burnt her hands and feet with fire that resulted in her death.
