
ISLAMABAD: Akram Khan Durrani, the federal minister for Housing and Works Monday directed the Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) to expedite work on all projects.
Moreover, the foundation was directed to ensure delivery of housing units according to deadlines set by the organisation.
Chairing the 24th Board of Directors (BOD) meeting of PHAF in Islamabad on Monday, Durrani said he would pay surprise visits to all on-going projects and evaluate their progress.
He warned that strict action would be taken against those found lacking.
Durrani further directed PHAF to devise a workable solution to complete and hand over possession of units to allotees in Sector G-10/2 on a priority basis.
He also urged allottees to clear their dues so that the final stage of work can be completed.
Meanwhile, the BOD also approved service regulation for PHAF. It further approved policy guidelines for constructing high rise buildings in Sectors G-10, G-11 and on Kurri Road.
The BOD authorised the PHAF management to initiate a process for allotment of these units as per the policy.
