QUETTA: At least two Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were injured when unidentified men opened indiscriminate fire on their vehicle in Turbat on Saturday.

According to details, the two soldiers were headed in the direction of Herok area of Turbat, some 60 kilometres away from Turbat city when the assailants shot at them.

The FC personnel on duty retaliated with gun fire but the assailants who were riding on a motorcycle managed to flee. The local administration rushed the injured to a hospital. The victims have been identified as Naeem and Muhammad Hashim.

Corpse found in Turbat

A bullet-riddled corpse was recovered from Turbat by the police on Saturday.

According to details, police spotted the bullet-riddled body of an unidentified person, 40 kilometres away from Turbat in the area known as Shapuk.

Police have identified the victim as Asghar a resident of Shapuk.

The corpse was handed over to its legal heirs by the police upon the completion of all medico-legal formalities.
