Mayor hands out garbage bags
The bags bore inscriptions reading 'I love Karachi'
KARACHI:
As a part of the 100-day campaign to clean the city, Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar distributed garbage bags among shopkeepers in Eidgah Market, MA Jinnah Road, on Saturday. The bags bore inscriptions reading 'I love Karachi'.
Akhtar asked the shopkeepers not to throw garbage outside their shops. Instead, he asked them to collect it in the bags provided to them, which, he assured, will be taken away by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation vehicles twice a day.
