Details gathered through the politicians’ National Tax Numbers (NTN) available in the FBR’s tax directories show that these 115 politicians have been served notices by the FBR.

According to sources, there is a big discrepancy between Imran Khan’s declared income and assets and the amount of money paid in taxes. It is because of this discrepancy that his name has been included among the list of people to be audited, a source said.

Details published in the tax directories of the last two years show that Imran paid a total tax of Rs194,936 in 2013 and Rs21,8237 in 2014.  However, he paid only Rs76,244 as tax in 2015 which is less by Rs141,993 as compared to the last year.   (TRANSLATION BY ARSHAD SHAHEEN)
