LAHORE: The officers of the Punjab Civil Services (PCS) announced to go on a strike from March 21 if their demands are not met.

PCS Association President Rai Manzoor Nasir said that the appointment of Provincial Management Group officers in Punjab is illegal.

Nasir claimed that the government vowed to meet PCS officers’ demand by May 31 last year but left all its promises unfulfilled.

He urged the provincial government to meet their demands and appointed the PCS officers at different key posts depending on their seniority and merit.

He warned that all PCS members will stop working and jam the government functions if their demands are not met.
