He was addressing a press conference on Thursday at Karachi Press Club where he presented 13 points pertaining to the issues and problems faced by the schools, which included the withdrawal of all the types of commercial taxes that should only be applied on commercial industries. He was also against the Sindh High Court order of limiting the increase to 5% in tuition fee.
Commenting on the recently passed law against corporal punishment, Shah said that they will approach the Supreme Court against this law. According to him, teachers are like parents and if such laws are passed, students will stop obeying teachers. "Students will never listen to teachers if such laws are implemented," said Shah while answering a question.
