IUI ASA elections: Academicians elected to staff body

ISLAMABAD: The Academicians panel was elected unopposed in Academic Staff Association elections for 2017-18 at IIUI.

Professor Dr Abdul Jalil of the faculty of engineering and technology was elected president while Dr Shehzad Ashraf Chaudhary of the faculty of basic and applied sciences won the general secretary seat.

Other office bearers who were elected were Dr Faizur Rahim from the economics department for vice-president, Atif Shehzad Sahi from the media and communication studies department is the new information secretary.

Finance secretary was taken by Dr Zaheeruddin Behram from Dawah Academy while Dr Habibullah from the faculty of Arabic secured the joint secretary position.
