Verdict announced: Man awarded death sentence, two acquitted in murder case
In another case, accused Amir was sentenced to life in jail for killing his opponent

An additional district and sessions court awarded death sentence and life imprisonment to three accused involved in a murder case within Shahnikdar police station limits on Wednesday. The judgment was announced by Judge Amir Mukhtar Gondal.
The prosecution told the court that accused Akhtar Nisar of Shahnikdar tehsil, Sillanwali, along with his six accomplices Tariq, Imran, Matloob Hussain, Faqeer Hussain, Asghar and Nasir Hussain, had killed his opponent over a petty dispute.
Later, the police registered a case against them.
After hearing the arguments, the court awarded death sentence to Akhtar Nisar and also awarded life imprisonment to Tariq and Imran. Besides, the court also acquitted Faqeer Hussain and Asghar giving them the benefit of doubt.
In another murder case, an additional district and session’s court awarded life term to an accused on Wednesday. The verdict was announced by Judge Tahir Khalil.
The prosecution told the court that accused Amir Omer of Jhal Chakian and his four accomplices Zahid, Shakeel, Imtiaz and Sikandar had gunned down their opponent Muhammad Asif over an old enmity.
After hearing the arguments and witnesses, the court sentenced Amir to 25 years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs0.2 million.
However, the court acquitted Zahid, Shakeel, Imtiaz and Sikandar giving them the benefit of doubt.
Earlier in December, a man was awarded 28 years imprisonment for his involvement in terrorism case within Phularwan police station. The judgment was announced by Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tariq Mehmood Zargham.
The police arrested accused Muhammad Imran alias Mano, resident of Phularwan, on April 16, 2016 and recovered a hand grenade from his possession.
