KARACHI: Former Pakistan batsman Ramiz Raja on Thursday revealed he is producing a movie and has cast Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt for the lead role.

“It's true, I am making a movie,” Ramiz said while speaking to The Express Tribune. The cricketer-turned-commentator said an actress has not yet been finalised for the role and he's uncertain whether it will be a Pakistani or an Indian star.

‘PSL 2 will be bigger and better’

The 54-year-old, who is one of the brand ambassadors for Pakistan Super League (PSL), will be in the UAE from February 9, the opening ceremony of the second edition, and he thinks this version would be better than the last one.

“It is going to be bigger, better and more fun,” said Ramiz. “It is one of the best products when compared to other T20 leagues around the world. I am hoping you will get to see better matches and more crowds.”

The former Pakistan opener further said the schedule in the second edition will help draw in more crowds.

“The schedule is very feasible this time,” he said. “It has more breaks so people will be able to enjoy matches more and the players would also be fresh to perform at their peak in every match.”
