LAHORE: To allow smooth flow of traffic in Lahore, the traffic police and railways authorities are mulling over a plan to reduce the time of closure of 15 railway tracks crossings.

A three-member delegation of Pakistan Railways held a meeting with the city traffic police officer to discuss the proposal at the CTO office on Friday. Traffic DIG Ahmad Mobeen had written to the federal railways minister for early opening of 15 crossings to facilitate flow of traffic.

The proposal concerns the opening of these 15 crossings: the City Railway Crossing, Jhodo Railway Crossing in Raiwind Sector, Lahore Bridge Railway Crossing in Model Town Sector, Imamia Colony, Kala Khatai in Shahdara, Data Nagar and Ravi Chowk in Lorry Adda, Griffin Railway Crossing, Mughalpura Bridge in Mughalpura Sector, Sultan Chowk Dharampura, Chauchacha in Garhi Shahu and 7-Up, Cantonment Railway Crossings in Gulberg Sector.
