Crackdown: 18 arrested; drugs, liquor seized

SARGODHA: Police claimed to have arrested 18 suspects, including nine proclaimed offenders, and seized narcotics and illegal weapons from them on Friday.

In an ongoing crackdown against criminals, police teams of different police stations conducted raids within their respective jurisdictions and arrested nine accused.

Police also claimed to have recovered over 6.5 kilograms of hashish, 30 bottles of liquor, two pistols and two 12-bore shotguns along with bullets and cartridges.

The accused were identified as Talib Hussain, Muhammad Farooq, Afzaal Ahmad, Omer Shahzad, Waqas Ahmad, Shahid Imran, Faisal, Muhammad Ramzan and Adil.

The police also arrested nine proclaimed offenders and absconders wanted to different heinous crimes, including robberies, murders and attempts to murder.
