Negligence: Four policemen dismissed 

Four constables deployed at the hospital for security had been dismissed from service

HYDERABAD: SSP Irfan Baloch terminated the services of four policemen for their alleged negligence in duty in the case of the kidnapping of a newborn from Civil hospital on January 21. The police spokesperson said that four constables deployed at the hospital for security - Aqeel Ahmed, Raja Shahzad, Younus Ali and Zahid Pervez - had been dismissed from service. He said that the SSP had constituted a special investigation team, comprising the Cantonment ASP, Crime Investigation Agency incharge and DSP and SHO of the Market police station, to probe the matter. The team was examining closed-circuit television footage from the hospital and interrogating the staff, he said.
