Sahiwal power plant: Coal for project lands at Karachi port    

Ongoing energy projects in Punjab, are being personally monitored and reviewed on their progress regularly

MULTAN: Coal intended for the 1,320-megawatt Sahiwal coal power project, where the boiler has already been installed, has landed at the Karachi port. This information was shared by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while appreciating fast-paced development works under way in Punjab under the supervision of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. In his address at the inauguration of Multan Metro Bus, he admired the hard work of CM Shehbaz and congratulated him for the completion of the megaproject within 18 months. The prime minister mentioned the ongoing energy projects in Punjab, saying Shehbaz was personally monitoring all projects and reviewed their progress regularly. Separately, Shehbaz took notice of media reports about the torture of a motorcycle-rickshaw driver and sought the RPO Gujranwala report. Police have also arrested the sub-inspector and registered a case against him after suspending him.
