He said this while addressing a formal event at Sachal Goth on Sunday, in which a number of people belonging to different castes and parties officially joined PTI. At the event, those who joined the party included members of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Jiye Sindh Student Federation and Pakistan Peoples Party.
PTI senior vice-president Haleem Adil Shaikh said that the PTI will not disappoint the citizens of Karachi. He added that the city will re-emerge as a peaceful city of literate people once PTI comes into rule.
Alvi claimed that the PTI has emerged as an alternative party for the people of Sindh and after getting more than 0.8 million votes from Karachi, it is clear that the future of Sindh belongs to PTI. He added that the party knows where it lacks and this is why they have started working on their party structure and are strengthening their roots within the city.
Talking about how the PTI is working for the upcoming elections, Alvi said that they have been asked by the party chairperson Imran Khan to shortlist best candidates for all the seats and they will also ensure that the candidates will contest elections from all the seats of the city.
