Azam’s all-round show gives Federal Areas edge

Federal Areas gained a lead of 14 as they finished at 216 for seven after bowling out Sindh for 202, on the first day of their Pentangular Cup match.


Federal Areas had Hammad Azam to thank, who top-scored with 60. Muhammad Sami picked up four wickets for Sindh.

Earlier, Federal Areas reducing Sindh to six for three. Faisal Iqbal led the fight back with a top-score of 67.

Punjab stage comeback

Meanwhile, Punjab fought back against Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) reaching 340 for nine at close.

A 129-run partnership between Muhammad Ayub and Usman Salahuddin rescued Punjab after being reduced to 46 for three. However, the limelight was stolen by Saad Nasim who scored an unbeaten 84.
