Thousands of CDA employees gathered at the CDA headquarters and closed the office blocks to protest the allotments of plots to senior officers, including those on deputation.

ISLAMABAD: As part of its expanding complaint management system, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Thursday launched mobile complaint and response units.

It will initially include two dedicated vehicles, each with two staffers on board. These officials would hear complaints regarding sewerage, sanitation, streetlights, water supply and water sampling from their assigned areas and would ensure that these complaints are rectified the same day. Moreover, the service can be requested on the phone.

The service will run parallel to the CDA’s existing complaint management system.

CDA Administration Member Yasir Pirzada said, “We have started the process to boost complaint response system in Islamabad. The Complaint response system should be at par with international standards,” Pirzada said.

“The new mobile system is just an initiative…We have to work hard and cover a long distance to achieve our objective of fully modernising the complaint management system in Islamabad.”
