Pledging army’s support: AJK PM, COAS discuss LoC situation

RAWALPINDI: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters. Security situation along the Line of Control and other matters of mutual interest were discussed, Director General Inter Services Public Relations Major Gen Asif Ghafoor stated in a Tweet. The COAS assured the premier that army was fully prepared and capable of responding to all types of threat from across. Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Essa Abdullah Albasha Alnoaimalso called on the army chief. COAS condoled loss of lives of UAE nationals in recent Kandahar blasts. COAS appreciated the role of ambassador in enhancing Pak-UAE cooperation in different fields.
