Anti-encroachment drive: CDA chief wants staff to work faster

Enforcement directorate removed six illegal building material depots from the green belt

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Anti-encroachment drive in the capital city continued on Tuesday, based on the directives of CDA Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz. Aziz has directed the authority to expedite the drive against encroachments. Unlawful constructions were removed or demolished which resulted in the retrieval of several canals of government land from illegal occupants. The enforcement directorate removed six illegal building material depots from the green belt along Margalla Road in Sector E-11. Similarly, two containers being used for building material storage as well as an illegal kiosk in the same sector were demolished and vacated, while 10 canals of government land were retrieved from the illegal occupants. Meanwhile, two kiosks and inns were also demolished in Sector G-6.
