New appointment: Punjab Rangers chief meets governor 

DG Azhar said the sacrifices of the armed forces and the law enforcement agencies for peace

LAHORE: The newly appointed director general (DG) of Punjab Rangers, Maj Gen Azhar Naveed Hayat Khan called on Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana at the Governor House on Tuesday. During the meeting, the Punjab governor said the success of Zarb-e-Azb was the result of mutual confidence as well as harmony between the armed forces and the political leadership. “Protection of life and property of common man is the first and foremost responsibility of the government,” he added. “Pakistan’s enemies must bear in mind the country’s defence is impregnable and in safe hands.”

DG Azhar said the sacrifices of the armed forces and the law enforcement agencies for peace and security of the country would not go waste.
