HYDERABAD: Pointing out the threat to the 2.8 million acres of wheat crop cultivated in the province due to water shortage, Sindh Chamber of Agriculture (SCA) has demanded immediate measures for ensuring supply of irrigation water. A meeting of the SCA on Sunday, attended through video link by farmers’ representatives from Karachi, Sukkur, Ghotki and other districts, also asked the Sindh government to provide interest-free loans to farmers as they were offered by the Punjab government.
