Curbing street crime: Sindh IG orders to expedite operation

IG issued directions to all zonal police chiefs to speed up the operation against street crime

Sindh IG Allah Dino Khawaja directed on Tuesday all zonal police chiefs to expedite crackdown against street criminals in the city.

On the second day of assuming charge of his office, IG Khawaja issued directions to all zonal police chiefs including deputy inspector generals to speed up the operation against street crime. “Crackdown against criminals should speed up on the basis of proper analysis,” he said in a press statement issued by Central Police Office. He also urged the relevant police officials to improve coordination and efficiency of the ongoing operation. Beside police performance, details of arrested and wanted criminals must also be regularly shared via Whatsapp group by high-ups in the department, he said.
