Increasing yield: Plan to promote cotton crop devised

MULTAN: The agriculture department has chalked out a comprehensive plan to promote cotton crop in the province. A press release issued by the agriculture department on Sunday stated that under the plan, the department will prepare friendly pests of cotton in order to counter attack other pests that were harmful for the crop.

It added the department was providing special training to staffers and awareness to farmers and would also get proposals from experts and scientists to promote crop and for elimination of pests. The handout stated these steps would help in improving cotton production in the coming years.
