He said the district administration had completed different development projects at a cost of Rs3 billion during the current year. These projects include upgradation of roads, sewerage and other development schemes. He added different health centres had been completed for the first time in the district at a cost of Rs30 million.
Heritage Sites: LDA to hire conservation consultants
Around Rs8 million had been spent on a tree plantation campaign in which more than 250,000 saplings had been planted to make the city green, he said, adding five new parks were also being constructed and funds of Rs250 million had been given to Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) for this purpose.
The government will provide Rs80 million for resolving sewerage issues in the district.
