Good governance: Indigenous training commences at PIFD

The training under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is designed for the non-teaching staff

LAHORE: A three-day indigenous on-campus training (IOT) programme on various topics started at the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) on Thursday.

The training under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is designed for the non-teaching staff of BPS-16 and above to promote good governance on campus.

A total of 35 members are participating in this comprehensive programme, comprising nine sessions covering several diverse topics such a new accounting model, financial rules, audit, budgeting, managing stress at workplace and significance of security measures in educational institutions, etc.

PIFD Senate member Avais M Hussain shared his experience of working in public service and asked the participants to refine their skills and work with more zeal to serve the university and the country and to remain honest with their work.
