Balochistan farmers: Food minister unveils training plan   

Initiative will help to further develop the agriculture sector of the province

ISLAMABAD: Minister for National Food Security and Research Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan has said that the government would train 2,000 small farmers from least developed districts of Balochistan. Addressing a certificate distribution ceremony of the 5th batch of training course titled ‘Skill Development of Farmers of Balochistan’ he said that the initiative would help to further develop the agriculture sector of the province. In addition, it would enhance the farm income and alleviate poverty from the rural areas of the country. The event was organised by Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) in collaboration with Agriculture Policy Institute (API), said a statement received here on Monday. Federal government, he said gives special focus to small farmers of the province to improve their livelihood through the development of agro-livestock activities.
