Flower show: Chrysanthemum exhibition kicks off in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The three-day exhibition of Gul-e-Daudi (Chrysanthemum Indicum) began here at Bagh-e-Jinnah under the aegis of Parks and Horticulture Authority. PHA Chairperson Haji Khalid Saeed inaugurated the exhibition while MPA Dr Najma Afzal, DCO Salman Ghani, PHA DG Kanwar Ijaz Kahlqi and a large number of people were present on the occasion.

Khalid visited various stalls set up in the exhibition and appreciated the PHA for arranging flowers’ exhibition. He said PHA’s role in beautifying the city was very important.

He emphasised promotion of positive aspects of floriculture in daily life and provide a forum to hobby gardeners for sharing their ideas and exchanging information with professionals.

He said there was a strong relation between plants and environment. “Our environment can only stay clean and healthy if there are more plants,” the PHA chairperson added.
