Road accident: 5 schoolteachers killed, three injured

The crash killed Masood Shah, Abdul Wali, Riaz, Qari Younas and Shakil Qureshi on the spot

HAVELIAN: At least five passengers were killed while three others were critically injured when the van they were travelling in fell into a roadside gorge near Havelian, police and eyewitnesses said on Sunday. Police said that a Suzuki highroof, carrying seven schoolteachers and a driver, travelling to Havelian from Nagri Maqol village. When they were just two kilometres from Havelian, the driver lost control of the car and the vehicle fell into a ravine. The crash killed Masood Shah, Abdul Wali, Riaz, Qari Younas and Shakil Qureshi on the spot. The injured were identified as Yasin, Abdul Basit and Tahir. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
