QUETTA: A three-day anti-polio campaign will kick off on Monday covering 30 districts of Balochistan. This was announced by Dr Aftab, a member of the province’s polio team, while addressing a news conference on Friday. He also revealed that the province was successful in containing the virus effectively as the number had fallen from six in 2015 to a single case in 2016. He was of the view that the cases mostly occur in the bordering towns that connect Balochistan either with Afghanistan or with other provinces of the country and there these towns will be the focal points of the campaign.
