Facebook is increasingly becoming more and more like Snapchat.

It's latest feature, the Messenger Camera, allows users to share filter-enhanced photos and videos with text, doodles, stickers, illustrated frames and animated effects.

Facebook to roll out new tools to tackle fake news

Though Messenger already has an in-app camera, it didn’t offer all the fun frills and editing features this new camera has. Also, like Snapchat, the photos shared don't disappear.

Facebook is also adding the additional option of using graphic filters as suggestions, along with Facebook's AI-powered Style Transfer, a set of effects that make photos look like Prisma-styled art.

“We are especially excited to debut 3D masks and special effects, which make it super easy to apply an artistic filter to your full screen photo and to turn your world into a work of art,” said Peter Martinazzi, Messenger’s Product Manager in a blog post.

Instagram’s Snapchat-like feature allows 24-hour-limit posts

Available on select iOS and Android versions for now, it is expected to roll out for all platforms, soon.
