Singer-guitarist Salman Ahmad recently presented a new single in connection with Junoon's silver jubilee.

Door, shared on Tuesday at the band's Facebook page, features former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram, his better half Shaniera Thompson and model Rabia Butt. The song has been dedicated to late pop star-turned-evangelist Junaid Jamshed.

While a great deal of buzz surrounded the video prior to its release, its insipid execution fails to live up to expectations. While the visual effects, locations and Waseem and Shaniera make a sight for sore eyes, they can in no way undo the damage wreaked by Salman's poor sartorial choices, forced shots and mediocre vocals.

We can't get enough of Wasim and Shaniera's first look from Salman Ahmad's song

Barring a fleeting minute, most of the video depicts all the characters in a state of acute misery. It is only towards the end of the video that what befell Waeem, Rabia and a child is revealed.

The video left even die-hard Junoon fans crestfallen. Here are some comments to that effect.
