Major Gen Muhammad Saeed appointed as new DG Rangers Sindh

He replaces Lt Gen Bilal Akbar, who has been posted as Chief of General Staff

Pakistan Army announced on Wednesday a new set of top-level transfers, appointing Major Gen Mohammad Saeed as the new chief of Pakistan Rangers Sindh.

“Major Gen Saeed has been posted DG Rangers Sindh,” the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

He replaces Lt Gen Bilal Akbar, who has now been posted as Chief of General Staff.

Sindh DG Rangers among 7 major generals promoted to three-star rank

The post of DG Rangers is of high importance because of the continuing Karachi operation against criminal elements, which began in September 2013.

Meanwhile, Major General Nadeem Anjum was appointed as IG Frontier Corps, the ISPR added.
