Police said, Chaudhry Nisar who owned Sitara building and Star Hotel in G-7 Markaz, was murdered by unidentified gunmen. He was hit by four bullets.
Although the killers managed to escape, police suspect a financial and business dispute between Nisar and his hotel contractors to be the reason behind the killing.
A police officer said that on Friday, the victim wanted to vacate his contractors Shakil Abbasi, Wajid and Waqas from the hotel due to a dispute.

Soon after the incident, all three suspects disappeared along with their relatives. Police said raids were being conducted and arrests were imminent. All three hailed from Murree, while Nisar was a resident of Sector F-7/1.
“The deceased had issues with the persons running his hotel. The persons who ran hotel on rent have escaped the scene,” a senior police officer said.
After the incident, Sitara Market traders held a protest demonstration against the killing. They blocked the road and burnt tyres, demanding the arrest of the killers and protection for traders and businessmen.
