Mahira Khan will definitely promote Raees in India if needed, says producer

Much-anticipated Shah Rukh starrer Raees has been on the media's radar for quite some time now courtesy Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan.

Rumours were abuzz that Mahira won’t be allowed to promote the film in India alongside Shah Rukh Khan and the team due to escalating India-Pakistan tensions.



Speaking at the film's trailer launch, producer Ritesh Sidhwani put all speculation regarding the matter to rest.

"When we start promoting the film, if we need Mahira Khan, she will definitely come," he said.

"I don't think they have stopped issuing visas to anybody. There's no restriction as such," Sidhwani further added.



Mahira plays the role of SRK’s love interest in the Rahul Dholakia directorial which marks her Bollywood debut while King Khan essays the role of a Gujarati bootlegger Raees Alam in the film.

Raees is slated to release on January 26 next year.
